Sample Preparation & Automation
ET70 Automated Sample Pre-Processing System
Automated aliquoting, dilution and mixing for blood and urine samples, feeding straight into ICP-MS, LC-MS/MS and GC-MS workflows. Up to 96 tubes per run, with the manual pipetting step removed.
The step before the instrument
Sample preparation is where throughput is lost and where variability creeps into a result that the mass spectrometer will faithfully reproduce. Manual aliquoting and dilution is slow, it is hard to audit, and its reproducibility depends on who is at the bench that day.
The ET70 automates that front end. Tubes are scanned, uncapped, mixed, aspirated, diluted and dispensed inside an enclosed environment, with liquid-level detection and reagent monitoring running throughout. What reaches your LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS or GC-MS is prepared the same way every run.
Key features
Automated front-end preparation for blood and urine, up to 96 tubes per run.
High throughput
Up to 96 sample tubes per run, unattended.
Blood and urine
Venous blood, peripheral blood and urine sediment tubes.
Precise pipetting
20 to 175 µL. Down to ±1.5% accuracy and 1.0% CV at 150 µL.
Full tube handling
Automatic barcode scan, mixing, and cap open and close.
Hands-off dilution
Automatic aspiration, dispensing and dilution.
Monitored and enclosed
Liquid and reagent level detection, self-check and fault alarms.
Key applications
- Clinical and pathology laboratories: Blood and urine preparation ahead of LC-MS/MS or ICP-MS analysis.
- Toxicology: Consistent aliquoting and dilution across large sample batches.
- Drugs of abuse screening: Repeatable preparation where throughput and auditability both matter.
- Research laboratories: Removing operator-to-operator variability from study sample sets.
